The clean and pleasant Mediterranean Sea surrounds the coast of Javea on a length of 25 km with sandy beaches, bays and rocky cliffs.
The Old Town has a very interesting historical city center with artistic facades and Gothic windows, smith-iron balconies and window grids as well as skilfully formed inner courtyards are worth to be visited. The church Saint Bartolomäus is built in the Late-Gothic style that you can recognise by the different elements and constructions. “Aduanas del Mar” is the popular harbour quarter and the perfect meeting place for young and old. The inspection of the church “Santa Maria de Loreto” is a must for all visitors. It was built in the 60s and shows an especially impressive architecture. At the seafront “El Arenal” there is the centre of shops, restaurants, bars and evening markets.
In the nature reserve of the Montgó (Les Planes) you can admire the old windmills.
