Guardamar
The 11 km long beach of Guardamar is considered one of the most beautiful in Spain, not least because of the long pine forest running parallel to it. An absolute must for wonderful walks. The beach is rarely overcrowded even in high summer. Guardamar is especially known for the sand dunes which are located in a nature reserve. In former times Guardamar was a fishing and farming village, today the village is mainly characterised by five to six-storey houses.
Guardamar is a beautiful town that has everything to offer, far away from the hustle and bustle of the larger cities such as Alicante and Torrevieja, which are nevertheless only a few minutes away by car.
