Orihuela Costa is a coastal region on the Costa Blanca in the province of Alicante. It is located near the border with Murcia, near La Manga and the beautiful Mar Menor. Despite its name, it is actually about 20 kiorihuela costa property kilometres from the main town of Orihuela.
The region includes several seaside resorts such as Punta Prima, Playa Flamenca, La Zenia, Cabo Roig, Villamartin, Campoamor and Mil Palmeras.

The seaside resort of Cabo Roig is located at the southern end of the Costa Blanca in Orihuela Costa. This charming town has several blue flag beaches and enjoys spectacular mountain scenery. Only 10 kilometres from Torrevieja, the town itself offers wide palm-lined avenues and lush gardens with views of the Mediterranean Sea and the La Manga peninsula and Mar Menor.
The quiet holiday complex Playa Flamenca is located near the lively town of Torrevieja on the Costa Blanca. In the area there are beautiful beaches, golf and many leisure facilities such as water parks, tennis, go-karting and tennis.

The local beaches around Punta Prima have been awarded 67 European Blue Flags and range from natural sand dunes with pine forest backdrops to long, golden sandy beaches. Punta Prima is actually an urbanisation and not a town; it consists of apartments, townhouses and villas and is situated about 5 kilometres south-west of Torrevieja.
Campoamor is an excellent place for people who want to appreciate an element of true Spanish culture. The breathtaking scenery, green forests and beautiful beaches make Campoamor a prime destination for tourists on the Orihuela Costa.
The prestigious Villamartin Golf Course is located south of Alicante on the Orihuela Costa. The course has the feel of a charming Mediterranean village, with apartments, townhouses and villas, and all the amenities you could wish for, such as shops, cafes, bars and restaurants, and of course two 18-hole golf courses. There are beautiful sandy beaches nearby that never get too crowded.
Mil Palmeras is the southernmost town on the Orihuela Costa. It is an attractive and popular seaside resort with fine sandy beaches, rocky coves, and many water sports and beach facilities.

Climate
Orihuela Costa enjoys a typical Mediterranean climate, with a cool sea breeze in summer and protection from the cold north winds in winter by the surrounding mountains. The area has an average of almost 3,000 hours of sunshine per year and the average temperature easily exceeds 20 degrees.
In 1986, the World Health Organization recommended the region’s climate as one of the fairest in the world – neither too hot in summer nor too cold in winter. On average, it enjoys 325 days of sunshine per year, making it an ideal year-round destination.
